For small business owners our worst enemy is often procrastination, or just being lazy, I’m guilty of both. I can’t count how many times over the years I have had an idea for a blog post or something that I wanted to add to my website. With a traditional static website that meant to put the idea into play meant creating a new page, editing the html code, typing the article, uploading the new page to the server, and now adding the new link to the navigation of the the other pages of the site. It’s not hard to do, but it takes time, so I’d find myself putting it off until it never happened. But with WordPress creating a new post is about as simple as jumping on facebook and making a post. So with it being easier, I find myself using it more, which is adding new searchable content to my site, giving me more chances to show up in google, ultimately creating more customers.
This is the #1 reason I recently rebuilt my entire site using WordPress, and it was a good move, my website traffic is up 320% and I have literally done no additional marketing whatsoever. The only thing that has really changed is when I get a whim to share some information I jump on my admin panel and spend 10 mins or so typing up a little article like this one, and click publish and voila new content.
